Memorandum of Understanding with Simpson University

The YHKCC continuously strives to explore different pathways for our graduates to meet their different higher education needs. It gives us great pleasure to share news about a recent connection that has been established with an overseas tertiary institution, Simpson University, a Christian Liberal Arts university in California, USA.

As a result of a liaison with the Hong Kong Institute of Christian Counsellors, the YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 8th July, 2021, with Simpson University. The MOU aims to foster a friendly relationship through mutual cooperation and engagement. It was our honour to witness Mr Dion Chen, Principal of the YHKCC, and Dr Eddy Lau, Convener of International Initiatives from the Simpson University, represent the two institutions and sign the MOU. The ceremony came with blessings from Dr. Norm Hall, President of the Simpson University, and Dr. David Yip, President of Hong Kong Institute of Christian Counsellors and Visiting Scholar, Simpson University.

As part of this groundbreaking agreement, students recommended by the Principal of the YHKCC can apply for undergraduate programmes at Simpson University and be considered for an International Student Scholarship. We are also expecting further cooperation at different levels in the future.

Students or graduates who are interested in exploring the possibility of studying at Simpson University are invited to contact our Careers & Higher Education Counsellor, Mr Justin Hung, for more information.
